Hoody for baby

As promised
Using the fabric that I won (yeah, I won!)
The pattern from here...
I made this:

Love it!
Next time I will not add the bottom or the cuffs
and not sew the front pieces together
just use maybe 2 larger buttons instead
You know, change the whole pattern!

Have a great day~

Winner Winner chicken dinner!

So...Karen at Badlands Quilts hosted a pajama party...and those that linked up with their finished product were entered to win some great fabric from Sewtropolis and the fabric shop!!

And, if you have not guessed by now, I won.  WAHOO!!!  Yes, I did have a great shot because there were only a few entries, but so what?  Details. :)

I am picking some pink-ish knits for that special little lady that will be arriving in April (my niece!!)  The knits will be perfect for a little outfit for her. And I am not scared since I now know that sewing clothing is not to difficult.  Can't wait!

Thank you so much to Karen and Nikol!!

Logan's quilt

So a while back I showed you a peak at what fabric Derek's quilt had in it.
I will take a picture of it's competed goodness someday...

Well-having finished D's, Logan has been wondering where his was.  So, poor me, I had to take him to the fabric store and he got to pick out his own fabric.  Here is what he picked:
I did influence his choices-but only towards the shades of colors that matched.  But I did give him the penguins.  That boy and penguins I tell ya.

I will be making a zig zag quilt for him using Crazy Mom Quilts (amandajean) tutorial found here
Off the top I already know I might have issues.
1) I am making at least a full size quilt so I just hope that I bought enough fabric :)
It would be just too bad if I had to go back!
2) I did not have a pattern picked out when I bought this fabric,
so I do not have 1 solid color to go with all the zigs
but a matching solid-ish color for all the prints...
I think I just have to sew a print to the next set's solid color.
Hm.  We'll see.

Wish me luck!

some more stripes...

A few new additions to my small stripe pile.  But...tomorrow I will update you on WHAT I am doing with them!  Yep.  I have it figured out.  Kinda.  But I have cut & sewn, so I am a lot closer :)

*and if you're interested...check out what I have really been up to the last week :) *

WIP's

Well, I have several things that are works in progress...and I am just a little twitchy because I kinda like to not have things be 'in progress'. I like them to be done.  But, they will be (someday)!

I am doing another quilt a long with Amanda Jean...
here is what I have so far...

And here are some more stripes that I added for Beth's stripe challenge...
But I am stuck because I have no idea what I am going to make yet...

And, because I think I might be able to bust out a completed project...I am going to turn these Blush scraps into a runner...wish me luck for a quick turnaround :)

Heart Wreath

I used this tutorial: Cute Valentine Wreath

Here are my supplies...
And here is my result!  Love it!!

Things to note:  I thought it was going to be easy enough for my boys to do-it's not.  The styrofoam is pretty tough; too tough for them to be able to poke the pencil in far enough to keep the fabric in.
You will use a lot more glue then you think.
It does not matter which side of the printed fabric is up/down.  It's all wonky and still looks great.

Have fun!
