Yeah, it is a little slow going on my stripe project;but I am making progress.  Here are some hex halves... and the rest of the stripes are in strips... Well, here is my pinwheel quilt-a-long TOP done.For the life of me I could not find more of the same white that I used for the blocks(I used the rest of the yardage for a gifted quilt...oops...)so I had to find a replacement.It is from the Blush line, so it matches...kinda.But I am happy with it, and it's my quilt, so there :)And (thanks to Kristine) I made mini-pinwheels in the sashing-Too cute!

Well.  I know last post (just last night...) OK, so until recently the Joanns that was closest to my house was on the small side.  A few weeks ago a larger store opened and today is the grand opening!  Wahoo! On a side note:  I love Joanns.  Of course.  But I just found this great quilt shop and this one that I will probably start frequenting.  Don't fret for Joanns-they are still within in driving distance for lunchtime :)

Whew.  I made up a bunch of the candy cane hearts this morning.  Once you are using the correct tools-this craft is super easy. I did come up with a few tricks that helped me...Like tongs.  I tried to use my fingers to pinch the bottoms around the stick-but I am a wimp and it burned.  Hence the tongs.  I do use my fingers to press down  after I use the tongs-just so it looks nice. Well, You learn something every day.  I learned that wax paper is NOT the same as parchment paper.  I was trying to make these.  SUPER cute.  Hoping that they will attach easily with a glue dot.  But, until I get some parchment paper-we will have to wait to see!  I will keep you "posted"! HA!

I think I might start a "craft of the month".  If I do, this little guy is certainly it!  He is about 4 inches tall, and totally customizable too.  As you can see-he is an ornament.  I think that my next one will have little black eyes...this one just has little holes poked in.  Super cute!!  (I will update the picture when I have done a new one since this picture is kinda crummy)

These awesome totes are so fun & cute!  They are reversible too!  2 totes in one :)  Approx 16x11, handles are 23 inches.  I can (& have) made these bigger, or with pockets, or with a certain theme rather than just a patterned fabric.  Very customizable!

Well, have you seen the little round srubbies that you scrub yoru pots & pans with?  They do not scratch and you can wash them!  They are so great!  I finally figured out how to make them-so here they are :)  They are about the size of your palm.  I might start making them a little bigger cuz that's how I am.

Ok, so here is the deal.  I LOVE to make stuff.  I see something at a craft show or something that someone has and I say to myself  "I can make that".  So, I buy all the stuff to make it.  And I make ONE.  Just to prove to myself that I can.  Then, all the stuff goes in a bin and in the closet, never to be seen again. Well, it's all changing now.  I am going to pull it all out and start making!
